more zoo fun!

Continuing our day at the zoo...another highlight was the new-ish rhino exhibit. Here is Ella looking at Jubba, the male rhino. One of Mayah's first observations was that she could see his "boy part"...thanks Mayah:)

(I also love that she is wearing Nathan's old Mauer t-shirt...it was too little for him, but too beloved to go into a box.)

I did have a picture of momma and baby rhino here, but now it's gone, and since all rhinos look about the same, we'll do without.

Addie and Ella playing with the binoculars, though the thought to actually look at a rhinocerous with them never occurred to them.

Learning about rhinos. Amy learning how a rhino hears:)
Ella insisted on seeing the giraffes. Another amazing creature to just look at. Here's Addie with her friend the giraffe.

A group shot of the gang minus Micah. His 3-month self could not get excited about the zoo.

Addie is at such a fun age. She really took in all there was to see and do at the zoo, doing lots of pointing and talking...such a big girl! Even a group of mom's made mention of how cute and sweet she was (though I mainly think they liked her hat...thanks cousin Ericka!)

Everyone was super excited about the goats. We even payed the 50 cents (which I've never done) to get some feed for the goats. BUT, when it came to it,everyone chickened out and I ended up feeding the goats (hence no picutres).

At the end of the day, we asked "what was your favorite part of the zoo?" Everyone said, "the groundhog tunnel". It's funny what kids love...to me this was a bunch of concrete and a head injury waiting to happen, but we had to pull them away from here they were having so much fun!
